Detoxification Treatment for Alcohol & Drug Addiction
Alcohol and Drug Addictions are complex but treatable diseases. They are characterized by compulsive cravings and tend to persist even in the face of severe consequences. The goal of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Treatment is to achieve lasting abstinence, to improve the ability to function in society, and to minimize the medical and social complications of alcohol and drug abuse.
Recovery Resources understands
the difficulty that clients have with fear of withdrawal from
their drug use. It is the beginning of their physical recovery,
and it is important to us that the detox protocol comfortable
and safe.
Recovery Resources
is not a hospital with acute care, however we will evaluate and
assess your detoxification needs and manage your detox
appropriately. If you require more acute care, we will have you
detoxed safely and painlessly at an acute medical facility.
However, before entering Intensive Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment, an evaluation by Recovery Resources' Clinical professionals will determine if a medically supervised physical detoxification is necessary.
Opiate Detoxification
Recovery Resources’ Medical
Director, Dr. Philippe Martineau M.D. will assess our clients to
determine the appropriateness of an opiate detox. This is for
those clients that come to Recovery Resources using only
opiates. The opiate “family” includes oxycontin, roxicodone,
vicodin, percoset, codine and hydrocodone. It is an
“outpatient” detox that he will administer to our clients
residing with Recovery Resources.
The “outpatient” detoxification
is appropriate for our clients who need medically managed
detoxification but do not require twenty four hour medical
supervision. Our clients will still reside with us and get all
the counseling and treatment that is part of our Intensive
Residential Program.Continuum of care includes:
