Detoxification Treatment
Alcohol and Drug Addictions are complex but treatable diseases. They are characterized by compulsive cravings and tend to persist even in the face of severe consequences. The goal of Alcohol and Drug Treatment is to achieve lasting abstinence, to improve the ability to function in society, and to minimize the medical and social complications of alcohol and drug abuse.
However, before entering Intensive Drug and Alcohol Treatment, an evaluation by Recovery Resources' Clinical professionals will determine if a medically supervised physical detoxification is necessary.
Utilizing a nearby private Detoxification facility, medications are administered to remove toxins in the body and minimize withdrawal symptoms. Whether for alcohol or drug addictions, careful monitoring during the detoxification process is imperative to avoid serious and sometimes life-threatening reactions.
After the completion of this carefully individualized detoxification process, the clients are transported to the Recovery Resources facility to begin the Intensive Residential Treatment program.
